Our Mission

Helping you navigate the seas, smarter.

HarborPulse was born from a simple frustration: arriving at a beautiful port only to find it overrun by thousands of other cruisers. We believe your vacation time is precious. Our goal is to give you the data you need to find the hidden gems, the quiet days, and the perfect itinerary.

How It Works

We don't just guess. We use data science and industry research to model crowd flows.

1. Data Aggregation

We monitor hundreds of port schedules, identifying exactly which ships are in port on any given day. We cross-reference this with ship capacity data to establish a "Maximum Potential Crowds" baseline.

2. Flow Modeling

Not everyone gets off the ship at once. Based on studies of passenger behavior, we know that typically 85-95% of passengers go ashore, spending an average of 4.5 hours exploring. We model this flow—accounting for breakfast delays and "all-aboard" buffers—to estimate hourly foot traffic.

3. Contextual Intelligence

A crowded day in the rain is miserable; a crowded day in the sun is a festival. We integrate live 10-day weather forecasts and historical climate norms (temperature & rain probability) so you can pack—and plan—accordingly.

Data-first (and honest about it)
We combine publicly available port schedule data with ship capacity info to estimate how busy a port day might feel.
Crowd-aware scoring
Our Crowd Score is a port-relative percentile: it tells you how a day compares to other days at the same port.
Weather Integrated
Crowds are manageable in the breeze but miserable in the rain. We integrate real-time forecasts and historical climate norms into every prediction.
Built for Cruisers
We are cruise enthusiasts ourselves. Every feature is designed to solve the actual problems we face when planning our own voyages.
